The Shiva temple is an only temple functioning daily in Big Moscow now. A few years ago there was one, but it was dismissed by its founder and tantrik guru Sadashivacharya (Sergei Lobanov).
The only Hindu temple in Moscow had been demolished last year, leaving some 15,000 Indians and 10,000 Russian followers of Hinduism without a place of worship, said Ramesh Kallidai, secretary general of the Hindu Forum of Britain, concerning the destruction of Hare Krishna ISCKON temple. Now the Tantra-Sangha is obsolete, too. It is dedicated to different forms of the God Shiva, including VizvezvarA, MahAdevA, TryambakA, TripurAntakA, TrikAlAgnikAlA, KAlAgnirudrA, NIlakanThA, MRtyunjayA, SarvezvarA, SadAzivA, MahAdevA and etc. Sri Sakti, Ganesha, Murugan tantric worship is performed, too It is an important pilgrimage destination for general Hindu and Tantric worshipers who can afford an hour’s drive from Moscow metro Izmailovsky park.
